Mind-expanding sounds from the UK jazz scene and beyond.

UPCOMING SHOWS

Saxophonist, flautist and producer Chip Wickham casts a formidable shadow across the UK jazz landscape. Originally from Brighton, Chip Wickham first came to prominence in the UK breakbeat scene playing with the likes of Rae & Christian, The Pharcyde, Nightmares On Wax and Graham Massey. But at heart Chip has always been a jazz musician (he played on Matthew Halsall’s debut album Sending My Love in 2008 beginning a relationship with Gondwana Records that now spans 17 years) and now dividing his time between the UK, Spain and the Middle-East, he has made a name for himself with a series of beautifully crafted solo albums that draw equally on hard swinging spiritual jazz, the classic sounds of 60s British jazz and the more contemporary sounds of artists such as Jazzanova, The Cinematic Orchestra and Nicola Conte.

Theo Croker is a GRAMMY-nominated trumpeter, composer, producer, and bandleader known for blending jazz, hip-hop, and soul into a bold, genre-defying sound. His new album, DREAM MANIFEST (Dom Recs / Fat Beats, June 13), has earned critical acclaim from LA Times, VICE, and Jazzwise, among many others. Whether onstage with his acoustic ensemble or in studio with artists including J. Cole and Jill Scott, Croker delivers music that’s cinematic, emotionally charged, and always future-facing.

After selling out the Barbican earlier this year in collaboration with fashion designer Nicholas Daley, multiple sold-out shows at London's Jazz Cafe, and a closing headline appearance at Brick Lane Jazz Festival's Main Stage at Village Underground in 2023, the US trumpet-master will make his EartH Theatre debut this spring, presented by Revule Music. Not one to miss.
